Information Security Awareness School Projects: Are they transferable to the health sector?

Title:
Information Security Awareness School Projects: Are they transferable to the health sector?
Authors:
Abstract:
How are pupils to be sensitized to the issue of information security in everyday school life? Our answer to this would be experience-oriented scenarios geared to teaching awareness and sensitization with gamification as the focus. This would include a volunteer training programme for youth security advisors. The older pupils should be able to pass on their knowledge to younger pupils in an appropriate way and moderate the learning scenarios that have been developed. The primary focus of the analogue and digital learning scenarios is on concrete everyday situations, with consideration given to the interests of the target groups and the process of fostering an emotional understanding of information security issues and building up awareness. This way of generating awareness of information security and privacy can be directly applied to how technology is implemented within clinical practice—i.e. for e-health in general. Sensitization should be seen as an ongoing process.
