Information Security Awareness from Toddler to Grandma: A Target-Group-Oriented, Gender-Specific, and Intergenerational Challenge of Interdisciplinary Interest

Title:
Information Security Awareness from Toddler to Grandma: A Target-Group-Oriented, Gender-Specific, and Intergenerational Challenge of Interdisciplinary Interest
Authors:
Abstract:
No one wants embarrassing photos, comments, or publicly visible access data from their banking app on the Internet, and the secure handling of personal data thus affects everyone, from infants to grandmothers. We live in a world of increasing digitization and are obliged to protect our privacy and the information associated with it and to treat others with respect. In order to raise awareness in every age group about the proper handling of their own data, an interdisciplinary research group is developing special targetgroup-oriented, gender-specific, and intergenerational learning scenarios of interdisciplinary interest. These are based on the game-based learning method for real situations, which enables haptic and playful learning on the abstract topic of information security.
